I came across Rejoice when I was researching on the services I could engage with to help me with my journey as a first-time mum. During the home consultation, the Maternal Health Visitor shared with me her many years of experience in this field and how her expertise can help me better prepare myself for birth and breastfeeding. My birth preparation programme/lactation therapy started and while the Maternal Health Visitor worked her magic, each session is also like a mini ParentCraft Q&A. As this is my first pregnancy, there are naturally a lot of doubts and questions which I have in regards to labour, taking care of the baby and postpartum care. The Maternal Health Visitor would share her professional advice and clear my doubts without fail. Currently at my 37th Week, I feel more assured and prepared for the upcoming labour. I know I can count on Rejoice for a smoother labour and breastfeeding journey in the days to come.

It was Week 30 and my breasts started feeling sore and pained. Tried all the methods found online and advice given to remove the soreness, but none worked. Feeling frustrated, I decided to approach Rejoice for help. Their Maternal Health Visitor came the following week and her magical hands immediately removed the soreness and pain. She was very patient and has an eye for detail. She is not pushy, and takes time to understand our body and needs. For birth preparation, she helped me to prepare my body for breastfeeding. These include opening up the channels of the breasts to prepare for breastfeed, checking on the nipples to ensure they are in good condition, debunking myths and sharing facts of breastfeeding for newborns, mini ParentCraft sessions, preparing my mindset for the challenges ahead as a new mother. The 1-to-1 sessions were extremely useful. The sessions not only help me but also my hubby to understand more about breastfeeding. Rejoice has given us a lot of practical tips and moral support. Lastly, the consultant’s magical hands conditioned my body to produce colostrum before birth. We are thankful to have her.

To be honest, at first I was skeptical but paid for the package because I was desperate to get in shape after 2 weeks postpartum. My regular postnatal massage wasn’t effective. Just on my first session with Rejoice, I could see the tummy reduce in size significantly and I felt lighter too. I was sold! I look forward to all the massage sessions afterwards. The therapist will assess the condition of the body at the start of every session and plan the massage according to the needs of the body. So every session is different. At the end of each session, the therapist will bind the torso (see picture). It was comfortable and absolutely convenient. I could eat, lie down, and breastfeed in it with ease.
